Multiplier event 1 in UK

Wolverley Animal Centre and Secondary School has hosted the multiplier event of the Learning Bubbles project in UK.

The Learning Bubbles multiplier event was run in the UK as part of a School Farms Network meeting on the 10th June 2022 with 13 teachers and teaching assistants who work on school farms.
There are now more than 120 School Farms in the UK. SF&G set up and co-ordinates the School Farms Network as a mutual support and specialist network of practitioners and those interested in starting a new school farm. The network:

  • Offers support and assistance to existing school-based farms and those wishing to start a new school farm (teachers, assistants and parents).
  • Facilitates the exchange of ideas and information, including peer teacher support.

The meeting was part of a network meetings which are an excellent opportunity for school farm staff and volunteers to swap ideas, gain inspiration from the work of their colleagues and discuss how to stimulate understanding and support for school farms.

Keeley Smith and Heidi Seary explained to the group how the Learning Bubbles program would work and asked staff if they would like to support the program and learn from it going forward. Staff were all very interested and asked lots of questions.

About

LEARNING BUBBLES is an experimentation of collaboration between very different worlds: school, community urban gardens and the digital world. A proposal that seeks to combine the beauty of the natural environment, technological innovation and tradition to promote the well-being of its local communities.
