Gloverspiece

Gloverspiece Minifarm Ladywood Droitwich WORCS WR90AJ (United Kingdom)

The school has been developed based on the principles of care farming where nature and animals play a large part in the education of the child. From our work with mainstream schools on the care farm we knew there was a need for “something different”. We want to help children and young people who have high levels of anxiety or additional learning requirements, who find the mainstream environment too challenging or inflexible. Our individual approach to the timetable plus full time one to one support has proved extraordinarily successful. Gloverspiece has been following the Nurture Schools UK programme and will be assessed sometime this year. The six principles of nurture are at the heart of everything we do. We are also 80% through our National Online Safety accreditation, our team felt that following this scheme would benefit our learners due to their extra vulnerability.

About

LEARNING BUBBLES is an experimentation of collaboration between very different worlds: school, community urban gardens and the digital world. A proposal that seeks to combine the beauty of the natural environment, technological innovation and tradition to promote the well-being of its local communities.
