Piloting in France
Students coming from both rural and urban areas took part to the Learning Bubbles in France, attending the pathway in the community garden of Arberrats-Sillègues, near Saint Palais, or in Pau, where the youth centre MJC Berlioz is managing community gardens. Some of the activities (such as plant recognition) were 100% digital using the IPADS, while others were soil grounded activities. The activities were based on non formal education methodology and supported students to develop, among others, their social competences, improve their self confidence, increase their mathematic and natural sciences competences so that they could apply them on their daily life.
The Learning Bubbles pathway in France took place with the contribution of partners Institut Jean Errecart and the association Pistes-Solidaires.
Inside and outside the learning bubbles, teachers, educators, students, gardenisers and gardeners were part of an integrated learning experience.
