Piloting in Italy: let's go!
Here we are! The students of the Piaget-Diaz high school start today with the first meeting of a pathway that will last eight weeks and take us until Christmas 2022. We start by familiarising ourselves with the digital tools, the Ipad Pro that the project provides, together with the useful software to learn everything possible, and by doing school in an urban garden. Today we start at the Linkiostro Youth Centre in Rome's 8th district and then move on to the urban community garden in Largo Veratti, always in the same district. The learning bubbles, which have just been installed, will welcome us, giving us the opportunity to interact in small groups, also taking advantage of the support of digital educators and school teachers, who have decided to put their expertise at the service of the project. The gardeniser will introduce us to the community of gardeners who will open their plots to us, to allow the students to experience how many subjects such as mathematics, physics, geology, and biology are not just notions to be learned by heart, but useful tools to know how to interact with the environment and all the practical things that an urban garden requires.
